Liz Duffy joined Long Live the Kings in late 2021, after more than 20 years of diverse work experience in research and conservation of coastal aquatic species and ecosystems.
Most recently, Liz has been working with the Tulalip Tribes to support their efforts to understand factors affecting the estuarine and marine survival of Chinook salmon both locally and regionally. Her previous work has included aligning and updating habitat conservation goals for the San Francisco Bay Joint Venture, evaluating regional wetland restoration efforts for the Puget Sound Partnership, and advancing protections for at-risk marine species for the Natural Resources Defense Council.
Liz holds a PhD in Aquatic and Fishery Sciences from the University of Washington, Seattle, where she helped identify factors impacting the early marine survival of juvenile Chinook salmon in Puget Sound. She feels fortunate for the opportunity to bring her experience and passion to advance Long Live the Kings’ important work.
