Sips and Salmon: Salmon and City Lights with USGS

October 9, 2025 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm PDT

How does light pollution affect salmon survival? Join Tessa Code, Research Fish Biologist with USGS, to explore how artificial light at night impacts salmon in the Seattle area. Presentation + Q&A, then stick around for good beer and conversation with fellow salmon supporters.

Free to attend. Join us for science, stories, and a pint!

This educational series is presented by Vigor Marine Group, our partner on the Urban Estuary Restoration project – you can learn more here.

Q: Can I bring my kids?

A: Yes! Seattle Cider Company is an all-ages taproom, and we will have Survive the Sound coloring sheets with us – your kiddos can work on designing their own fish for the 2026 competition.

Q: Is the taproom dog-friendly?

A: No – while dogs are allowed on their patio, our presentations will be inside where they are not. Please leave your pups at home.

Q: Can I bring food?

A: Outside food is not allowed, but you can view their full menu here
