Scott came to Long Live the Kings in 2022 after a career spanning a wide variety of environmentally-focused roles. As a Peace Corps volunteer in Rwanda, he taught English and assisted with research on butterflies, orchids, and more at a school for environmental management and eco-tourism.
Since returning to the states, his passion for conservation has led him to work in ecological restoration, sustainable agriculture, and environmental education. Growing up in New Jersey and studying Anthropology and Linguistics at New York University, Scott was thoroughly an East-Coaster until visiting the Pacific Northwest in 2016. He and his partner were immediately won over by the scenery and amazing access to all things outdoors, so they packed up a car and moved to Seattle just a few months later.
Scott loves getting outside in any way he can, particularly in the form of hiking, SCUBA diving, gardening, or beekeeping. At home he prefers to spend his time cooking, playing board games, doting on his dog Stevie, and tending to an ever-expanding collection of houseplants.
